What is the best Hiking Boot for the Appalachian Trail – Section Vermont?
I am section hiking the trail Vermont of the Appalachians in two weeks (August). What is the pair of hiking – boots breaking minimum, good Gore-Tex waterproof, support and of course, affordable ($ 100ish range). Thank you best!
In the first place I go on a backpacking trip without extensive time to break the boots. These blisters great coincidence! I still have not seen a market maker of the boots as "requiring a minimum of breaking." Second, do not expect many Gore-tex boots $ 100-ish. I found a good pair of Asolo Fugitive GTX but cost $ 170 at REI, about $ 140 on sale. Add in a couple of templates for $ 35.00 Superfeet Green … Y configuration has a decent, but nowhere near $ 100-ish and nothing would take the Appalachian Trail VT serious travel without coming on the first day 1-2.
