Was it just me or curling teams at the Games Olympics are clogs. They were not like the wooden shoes or clogs medical , but they were dressed more like a nuisance. Almost seemed like Dress Shoes, but at the same time it is blocked. I had never seen before. I would never have rollers had imagined any special shoes, but I guess when your playing a sport where you slip on the ice with a precision that you need something special.
This made me think about what kind of shoes you have to best maneuver on the ice. I know that curling wear a special kind of Rubber Sole Non-slip at the bottom of the clogs, when on the ice, but I guess those do not give you any advantage. Essentially these are rubber soles so they do not touch the ice, I guess which have nothing to do with giving the curler any additional benefit.
If you've ever walked on the ice is not the easiest thing to navigate. If you are fairly with good balance, I'm not the best but I'm pretty decent where they spend most of their time out of my rear-usually can maneuver very well in capturing him without of your balance each time. Takes a bit of skill rather than to glide over it, but once you've done it a few times you kind of get the drop on him. I played hockey broom a few times (I think hockey with shoes instead of skates) and have found that Tennis Shoes are usually the best way to go if you are wearing shoes on the ice. Once I had to play hockey with brooms slip on Work Shoes and was not a fun experience (I had bruises for several weeks). I imagine that clogs rollers use are a perfect fit, but have sufficient mobility to be comfortable when you're sliding.
When you think of a shoe that is comfortable I guess the ice should have the same rules would be implemented in the purchase of an ice skate. For those of you who have ever used ice skates (I guess that is probably about 80% of you reading this article, we … I mean, that has not gone ice skating) know they are supposed to be tight. You do not want your foot to move a lot because he wants control over where the blade is pointing. If your foot moves too much, then your turns are not straight enough and you'll end up on his back for most of the day. You're essentially looking for something that is a struggle in the ankle and midfoot, but with enough space for moving toes. That's at least what you assume I would want in curling clogs.
