The issue of Black Women's Mental Health at The Rhoda Wilson Show
Mental Black Women's Health Project began in 1996 when members founders recognized the need for a more dedicated approach to mental health issues surrounding black women. The project provides home visits, hospital visits, support emotional, referral to counseling, a hotline to respond to telephone services, among other services.
It is a dynamic organization and user-managed dedicated black and female survivors of mental health system in the United Kingdom. Its vision is "to enable, support and encourage all Women Black, women are defined as being black in this society, in demanding for themselves collectively good mental health practices. "It is inspiring vision to the grassroots where the project began more than a decade.
Rhoda Wilson will be looking at the spectrum of issues that the project must faced and how the team of Angela tackles them in today's society. By focusing on this project worth Rhoda hopes to raise awareness of women's mental health black is still considered taboo in some parts of the black community, but affects many people.
