Why Black Women not known for being beautiful?

Women like Sanaa Lathan, Nana Gaye, Kellita Smith, Gabrielle Union, and many others are because it seemed more black and beautiful women. So what some people skewed idea of beauty and black women?

I do not think people should expect to have their beauty validated by society because society can be bad. Black women are so beautiful and worthy of respect as any other culture, but by history and oppression of blacks worldwide, unfortunately some people have difficulty giving the respect due respect (ie, recognize the natural beauty that some women of descent African ownership)
